Introduction
Creating homes for everyone
Hardingstone Rise is a new neighbourhood designed to meet a wide range of housing needs, helping West Northamptonshire Council deliver the homes required for the growing local population.
With around 1,000 new homes proposed, Hardingstone Rise will offer a balanced mix of house types – creating opportunities for first-time buyers, families and downsizers alike.
Our vision is to foster a diverse and inclusive community, with high-quality homes set within a walkable, green setting.
We are committed to creating a thriving, inclusive community by offering:
- One and two-bedroom homes
Ideal for first-time buyers and young professionals taking their first steps onto the property ladder, or for those wishing to downsize. - Family homes
Designed to meet the needs of growing households, offering modern, spacious living close to schools, parks and a thriving town centre, these properties will boast three, four and five-bedrooms. - Downsizing options
Providing comfortable, manageable homes for older residents looking to stay in Northampton while moving to a property better suited to their lifestyle. - Accessible homes
At least 10% of new homes will be built to ‘accessible and adaptable’ standards, offering step-free access and flexible internal layouts. - Affordable housing
In accordance with local policy a percentage of the homes will be affordable, including affordable rent and shared ownership. This will ensure local people — from first-time buyers to families — can access high-quality housing, helping more residents stay close to the community they know and love.
This is more than just a housing development. It’s a well-planned neighbourhood that reflects the character of its surroundings while responding to the needs of future generations. By delivering a balanced mix of homes, we aim to support south-east Northampton’s long-term growth, ensuring it remains a vibrant and welcoming place for all.
